At AMT Projekt, we continuously invest in knowledge, development, and new technologies. We are proud to share that our team has successfully completed practical training and certification for the production of silicone membranes used in composite products, delivered in cooperation with Alan Harper Composites Ltd.
This achievement marks an important step forward for our production capabilities. While we have already been using silicone membranes to manufacture composite parts, our goal was to develop deeper internal expertise around producing our own membranes in house. To support this next stage, Aidan from Alan Harper Composites visited our facility to provide practical training, process guidance, and formal certification.
The training went beyond the material itself. The focus was on building a clear understanding of every aspect of the process, including the production steps, handling considerations, and the process discipline required to produce reusable silicone membranes consistently and to a high standard.
Why This Matters
Reusable silicone membrane technology delivers its full value when the production team genuinely understands the process behind it. For manufacturers already working with membrane technology, this type of capability building plays a key role in long term implementation. It supports stronger internal knowledge, more confident decision making, and a more controlled approach to managing membrane production within the business.
As Alan Harper Composites Ltd. shared in their own announcement:
“Reusable silicone membrane technology is most effective when the production team understands the process behind it. The focus was not simply on the material itself. It was on helping the team build a clearer understanding of the production steps, handling considerations and process discipline involved in producing reusable silicone membranes consistently to a high standard.”
Looking Ahead
This new capability strengthens the knowledge and resources within our production and supports our continued development of modern GRP (glass reinforced plastic) solutions. We see it as a foundation for delivering even better quality, flexibility, and efficiency to our customers in the years ahead.
A sincere thank you to the team at Alan Harper Composites Ltd. for sharing their expertise, supporting our growth, and for the excellent cooperation throughout the training.
